What do you think about this dining room? Pretty drab and a bit stuck in the 90’s, right? I’ll share with you the 4 key things we did to freshen it up.

1—Switched out the outdated chandelier with a beautiful Murano glass fixture. This one custom made to feel just right in the space.

2—Applied Venetian plaster on the ceiling in a lovely champagne tone to add a layer of luxury.

3—New pedestals and urns that are more streamlined, yet classic, with mirror that reflects the natural light beautifully.

4—And the best for last: new wallcovering! This update gave us the BIGGEST impact. A yummy dark chocolate brown silk that not only adds amazing texture, but wow did it make their existing furnishings pop!

Now with that contrast you can really appreciate the beautiful golden wood grain in the table and china cabinet. And look at those curves! All the sexy curves that were previously lost in the sea of beige now sing beautifully!

And that’s really it, guys! We kept the existing carpet, china cabinet, table + chairs, even the drapery! (minus replacing sun-eaten contrast silk with fresh new silk)

This really is my favorite type of project—changing up key elements to breathe new life into spaces and furnishings that are already beautiful, they just need the right environment for them to really shine!
